The ask
As part of a major provincial push to grow the tech workforce, techNL needed training partners who could take people from other industries and give them a real path into tech careers. The Find Your Future in Tech initiative put $27M into training and upskilling across Newfoundland & Labrador.
The program
We delivered three programs under the initiative: a 12-month coaching program built on our proven one-on-one model, plus two online group training programs that we developed on a fast timeline to meet the initiative launch window. We also funded scholarships to widen access; you can read the original scholarship announcement.

Of coaching completers employed in tech
74 people went through the 12-month coaching program and 95 through the two online courses. More than 60% of students who completed the coaching training got full-time employment as software developers or otherwise joined the tech ecosystem in Newfoundland & Labrador.
